About Me

South Africa
My husband, Brett and I live in beautiful South Africa and have been blessed with the most precious family. We have 2 very beautiful and brave daughters, Tianna and Angelee and a very precious little boy called Zac who touched our hearts forever in his 1 day here on earth. We never would have imagined that we would have to live this side of Heaven without our sweet boy who was born with half a heart, but every day Jesus carries us through and is teaching us more than ever how to live, laugh and love fully. A year and a half later, our faithful Great Restorer graciously blessed us once again with another son ... our beloved Gabriel ... a ray of sunshine in all our lives! This blog has been a place where I have been able to journal my journey through loss, hope and choosing to live a life rich in love.

A Walk around my Garden to Celebrate the Beginnings of Spring

I am so excited to be able to finally welcome Spring back into my garden!!! It still feels like Winter, but if it's Spring day, heck I am going to wear a dress that represents Spring to me :) As I walked around my garden and saw the sweet fresh new flowers and green leaves appearing back, my heart celebrated the faithfulness of God! Come take a peek at some of the places in my garden that make me smile.
Behind me is one of the first plants we bought when we moved into our house. This "Delicious Monster" makes me smile every time I walk past it. It stays green & shinny all year long.
When I sit on my veranda, this is the beautiful tree I look out at. It never ceases to delight my heart. Depending on how the light catches it, it shines multiple shades of green. I love how it stretches out over our gate and there are a host of little birds who nest all year long in it.
This is our Coral Tree in the middle of our back yard. In Summer it is lusciously covered in bright green leaves. I love how it shows me each season. On the first day of Spring it has the first shoots of it's beautiful flowers. Take a closer look ...
Some more orange flowers tucked behind my favourite Delicious Monster leaves ...
And last but not least, my ever faithful pink Hibiscus which my little girls take great delight in picking for me :)
And with that beauty to fill your heart today ... Happy Spring Day lovely friends!!!
Much love,

Thanks Kelli. That big old Coral tree sold me on our home :) Thinking about you as you get ready to welcome the beauty of Autumn back in the spectacular USA! My mom lives in Virginia and I hear that Autumn there is breathtaking!
