About Me

South Africa
My husband, Brett and I live in beautiful South Africa and have been blessed with the most precious family. We have 2 very beautiful and brave daughters, Tianna and Angelee and a very precious little boy called Zac who touched our hearts forever in his 1 day here on earth. We never would have imagined that we would have to live this side of Heaven without our sweet boy who was born with half a heart, but every day Jesus carries us through and is teaching us more than ever how to live, laugh and love fully. A year and a half later, our faithful Great Restorer graciously blessed us once again with another son ... our beloved Gabriel ... a ray of sunshine in all our lives! This blog has been a place where I have been able to journal my journey through loss, hope and choosing to live a life rich in love.

Happy 1st birthday our precious Gabriel!

I can hardly believe it! Our precious baby boy is a big 1 years old today!
What a phenomenal year it has been, having the privilege of raising this treasured son of our hearts. He has brought nothing but absolute joy to all of us as a family.
He truly is an every-day reminder to us of the great love, faithfulness and goodness of our amazing God.
This little guy had such a fun day! He soaked it all in. From balloons, snuggles and pressies in the morning ...
... To a super special jungle-themed party at home ...
I'm sure that finally being able to tuck into a super-yummy piece of cake ... lovingly made by Granny, was well worth the year long wait ;0)
And best of all is the love of family!
Once again ... from Brett and I, thank you to all of you who have walked with and cheered us on, celebrating God's amazing gift of love and restoration in our lives as a family. We stand tall in Him shouting out that "God IS good!" and that He truly is our "Living Hope" (as 1 Peter 1:3 says). Our testimony will always be that He is gracious to work all things out ... bringing beauty from ashes. His grace is continually more than enough in the tears and the joys to allow us to smile with true joy with how far He has brought us. I am savouring each precious day of my children's lives, forever thankful for the privilege that each day holds. What an exceptional year this last year has been!
Much love,
Janine xxx
