Welcome to my little writing corner. I count my many blessings to be a cherished wife and an ever-learning-loving-growing mother to 3 amazing children this side of Heaven and a precious little boy in Heaven. Together as a family we pastor a precious church community called Redeeming Hope Church. I've had the privilege of loving and following Jesus Christ since my earliest memories as a child. No matter what I've gone through in life, He has always been so present. At heart, I'm an encourager ... so this is a place where I get to wear my heart on my sleeve and share my journey of learning to live a life of love in action.

Read this post with a cup of tea ...

Yes I'm serious ... go make yourself something yummy and soothing to drink before you read any further. I'm getting mine ... meet you back here in five.
I'm back with a steaming cup of Earl Grey tea (it's the "English rose" in me I think ... my daddy was born and raised in the UK - maybe that explains my NEED for a god cuppa tea!).
There's just something comforting about sipping on your favorite warm drink, don't you think? Over the last 2 days the Lord has made me aware of how much rushing around we do as women - whether you are a wife, aunty, working woman, mother ... or like me - all of the above ... we spend so much time multi-tasking instead of basking in a restful moment every now and then. I felt prompted to encourage us today to find quiet moments - your very own sacred moments of rest, to just be still and know that He is God and that He is in the midst of all that you face and all that you are negotiating right now in your life. It doesn't have to be hours (though that would be bliss!!!) ... but even a few moments over a cup of tea or coffee to restfully ponder His wonderful love and grace available towards you and your sweet family today. He cares so much for us!! While He wired us to be able to contain so much on our families behalf ... He wants us to be daily filled up with His amazing measure of sweet love and grace for each new day. Even as you have "topped up" with your special cuppa today ... may you be "topped up" with His wonderful love.
Today we're going from "multi-tasking" to "basking" in His glorious love!
Much love,
Janine
