About Me

South Africa
My husband, Brett and I live in beautiful South Africa and have been blessed with the most precious family. We have 2 very beautiful and brave daughters, Tianna and Angelee and a very precious little boy called Zac who touched our hearts forever in his 1 day here on earth. We never would have imagined that we would have to live this side of Heaven without our sweet boy who was born with half a heart, but every day Jesus carries us through and is teaching us more than ever how to live, laugh and love fully. A year and a half later, our faithful Great Restorer graciously blessed us once again with another son ... our beloved Gabriel ... a ray of sunshine in all our lives! This blog has been a place where I have been able to journal my journey through loss, hope and choosing to live a life rich in love.

Growing up too fast!!!

Oh my word!! My babies are growing up way too fast!! This week was "back to school" with Tianna starting Grade 2 (I still cannot get my head around that! Where does the time go?) ... and Leelee started pre-school. They are both oh-so-beautiful inside and out and keep Brett and I in stitches of laughter (and on our knees too)!! Thank you Jesus - Tianna came home from School absolutely beaming with her new teacher and class. She is LOVING Grade 2. What an answer to prayer. We have been trusting the Lord for a gentle teacher for our tender hearted little princess, and as always - God is so faithful. She also has some lovely little friends in her class.

Angelee is also enjoying her new school. She is our happy, go-with-the-flow little ray of sunshine, so you can imagine my shock when at the end of her FIRST day the teacher says to me "Shew ... you have a strong willed child!" ... hmmm ... so I asked her what happened. She explained to me that when she asked Angelee to pack away her lunch (which was always packed away for her at her last little PLAYschool), Leelee replied "No. I want to play." The teacher then re-stated that she HAD to pack it away, so Leelee looks her in the eye and very EMPHATICALLY and SLOWLY says ... "I - SAID - I - WANT - TO - PLAY!!".  Oh my word!!! Not the best response for her new Christian school. What can we say ... at least our girls keep Brett and I humble :)

Take a look at our gorgeous girls ...

1) Me and my baby-girls (at 7am ... a little too early for me, hence no make up!!)

2) My yummy hubby and his princesses

3) Angelee in her new class

4) Tianna standing outside her school

5) Tianna wearing her 1st pair of dangling ear-rings from her special aunty Niqui
