About Me

South Africa
My husband, Brett and I live in beautiful South Africa and have been blessed with the most precious family. We have 2 very beautiful and brave daughters, Tianna and Angelee and a very precious little boy called Zac who touched our hearts forever in his 1 day here on earth. We never would have imagined that we would have to live this side of Heaven without our sweet boy who was born with half a heart, but every day Jesus carries us through and is teaching us more than ever how to live, laugh and love fully. A year and a half later, our faithful Great Restorer graciously blessed us once again with another son ... our beloved Gabriel ... a ray of sunshine in all our lives! This blog has been a place where I have been able to journal my journey through loss, hope and choosing to live a life rich in love.

Life outside the box

As far back as I can remember, I have always known that I want to spend my life loving God and fulfilling His purposes for me.  As a child I knew that I wanted to be in ministry and somehow the belief began grow that fulfilling God's destiny obviously had to look like something very specific. Over the years I have explored some of the different gifts that He has placed in me, but have also spent a lot of time "waiting" for Him to layout in my heart the specifics of what that is meant to look like. Now I am realising that most things just don't fit into one defined little box when it comes to our destiny. Life with God is always going to be an adventure and fulfilling our calling in God is always going to be a walk of faith.
So ... here's me starting to live outside the box. I am spending more time discerning the opportunities given to me in each day than waiting for it all to be written out in the clouds above before I take action ;)  I am realising that each day is the opportunity given to each of us to live life filled with His love and make a difference. There is purpose in each day for us!! Living in the moment is opening my eyes to so many incredible opportunities to share His love and truth that I just kind of used to look right over. I have to admit - it's far more exhilerating outside the box!!
