Welcome to my little writing corner. I count my many blessings to be a cherished wife and an ever-learning-loving-growing mother to 3 amazing children this side of Heaven and a precious little boy in Heaven. Together as a family we pastor a precious church community called Redeeming Hope Church. I've had the privilege of loving and following Jesus Christ since my earliest memories as a child. No matter what I've gone through in life, He has always been so present. At heart, I'm an encourager ... so this is a place where I get to wear my heart on my sleeve and share my journey of learning to live a life of love in action.

A little honesty

I was so touched to receive this little blog-award from a very precious friend, Adeye Salem, who is a missionary in the US.  She has the most inspiring blog that I read almost everyday. When you have a chance, go check it out at http://www.nogreaterjoymom.com. I know that it will minister to you as much as it does to me.

Thinking about honesty ... lately I have been thinking about how easy it is to hide in plain sight of one another. Yesterday I was so touched when I met with a new friend and within 2 minutes the tears were pouring down her cheeks as she made herself vulnerable to share some of the hurts she has been carrying for so long. Sitting there together, watching God begin to bathe her in His love, I was so overwhelmed by His delight at what happens when we let our guards down and allow His love to reach our "broken" places. How He longs to bring His light and freedom into every area of our lives - especially the places of darkness that we hide from everyone. This precious new friend and I were able to pray and allow God to remove the heaviness that silence loads us with. I would never have guessed what she had been going through ... until she took that brave step of honesty and allowed God's light in.  It has inspired me to live more openly ... in the light ... with God and those around me. His light is truth which brings in such awe-inspiring freedom!!! How warm it is out here in the direct sunshine of His light :-) So much better than the cold-darkness satan tries to hide us in. Let His glorious light warm every part of your life today!

What a sweet reminder to continue in precious community. This post makes think about where I could be more vulnerable in my circles.
Thank you Janine.
