Welcome to my little writing corner. I count my many blessings to be a cherished wife and an ever-learning-loving-growing mother to 3 amazing children this side of Heaven and a precious little boy in Heaven. Together as a family we pastor a precious church community called Redeeming Hope Church. I've had the privilege of loving and following Jesus Christ since my earliest memories as a child. No matter what I've gone through in life, He has always been so present. At heart, I'm an encourager ... so this is a place where I get to wear my heart on my sleeve and share my journey of learning to live a life of love in action.

Tapping into the source of JOY

This morning I read a post from e-Lisa over at Extravagant Grace  which spoke straight to my mommy heart. She shared about being a mother and home-maker who fulfills her calling overshadowed by God's contagious joy. It is so worth the read. As a mommy of 2 sweet girls ... so often when I finally get into bed and replay the events of the day, I wish I had handled situations with more joy and ease! When I read e-Lisa's post this morning, I was reminded of that little verse that says "The joy of the Lord is your strength". The key to this amazing joy will always be found in our times with our precious Jesus. Psalm 16:11 is my encouragement for today ... "You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore." Tapping into His beautiful, approachable presence throughout the day leaves us with the wisdom that we need for each moment raising our treasures and gives us all the unspeakable, overflowing joy that we need which makes for the most precious memories and lasting lessons for our children. May you be blessed by the joy of His Presence today!

Thank you so much for your absolutely encouraging post and for joining in. I am so glad to seek the Lord together. I love the verses God brought to your mind. As I spent time looking at the Word yesterday, those were some of the verse God brought me to as well! Neat!

The Day of Promise has Arrived

Precious friends ... The big day has finally arrived! Come 4pm today we will be taken into theater to meet our precious miracle son! Our hearts are filled with the Promises of our Beloved Jesus. One of those "check your heart" moments

I had one of those moments today. You know those moments that give you an unexpected glimpse in the mirror and you see something that you don't quite like. I had been been standing in line to pay for my groceries. When it was eventually my turn, I greeted the cashier with a friendly smile and hello, genuinely wanting to acknowledge her and show her my appreciation. She in turn ignored me point blank and simply told me to swipe my reward card. Just like that my mood changed. She was so abrupt and uninterested in the friendliness that I had just shown her. In an instant my smile was gone and I stood there silently unpacking my groceries. She ignored me and I ignored her, all the while stewing in my head. I couldn't believe how "off" this woman was and how it had changed my attitude in an instant. Reasons to Celebrate

I am quickly typing this in between trying to pack up for Cape, and while packing I am having this to celebrate :0) What to celebrate you may ask ... well you would be amazed at how many amazing blessings you will discover of how good God has been to you when you start looking back and remembering what He has walked you through. Today I am celebrating many wonderful things! I am celebrating how no matter how dark certain moments have appeared to be, His light has ALWAYS broken through!!! Hope & Love have ALWAYS overcome the deepest of fears.  I am celebrating the precious family He has surrounded Brett and I with and the amazing friends and loved ones who have cheered us on and been praying us through.
