Welcome to my little writing corner. I count my many blessings to be a cherished wife and an ever-learning-loving-growing mother to 3 amazing children this side of Heaven and a precious little boy in Heaven. Together as a family we pastor a precious church community called Redeeming Hope Church. I've had the privilege of loving and following Jesus Christ since my earliest memories as a child. No matter what I've gone through in life, He has always been so present. At heart, I'm an encourager ... so this is a place where I get to wear my heart on my sleeve and share my journey of learning to live a life of love in action.

Time for Some Change

Anybody who knows me well, knows that I love a good makeover :0) I've been hunting for a new blog template for a while now, and finally found this whimsical one. It feels like a peaceful, good fit for my current frame of mind. It's a little dreamy and a lot soothing and I love, love, love the soft baby blue and chocolate tones. So heres to a comforting, whimsical new space for Love in Action Journey.  Love Janine

My Heart about this Blog and some Crafty Fun

Over the last few months, all my posts have been about anticipating meeting my precious baby boy and then my journey of negotiating grief. As I was seeking God's wisdom with regards to the purpose of this blog, I have been met with a strong conviction to keep blogging my walk at this time. For the time being I sense His heart is for me to share openly and honestly about the experience of outliving a child, as sadly, it is something that many others have and will also go through. My prayer is that this will be a place of encouragement for anyone hurting. While I do not have all of the answers , I do believe that even in the midst of "walking through the fire", so to speak, we are called to testify and that is my greatest hearts desire. To testify to the love and person of Jesus Christ, because it is Him alone who has given us as a family the ability to endure and find "heart peace" in the storm of loss and pain because of His priceless gift of Salvation which gu...

Check out who is following your blog!

Hey lovely ladies. This is just a quick warning for you to regularly check your followers pictures on your blog page. I happened to look to the side of my blog page to witness a REVOLTING porn picture! I hadn't checked in a while and just happened to see that I had a rather unsavory follower as spam on my page. Thought I would let you know in case the same happens to you. Much love xxx Janine

Friday's Blog Hop

I was just looking back at my very first post . I cannot believe that I started blogging over 2 years ago already. To be honest ... I have only really been dedicating time to it over the last few months and it has been such an amazing journey as I look back.  I am not the most techno girl out there (thank GOODNESS for my clever gorgeousness). Learning how the whole blogging world goes has been a little slow for me. Just lately I discovered my first "Friday's Blog Hop". Lise over at   Baby Bottom Line  and Nicole at  Mama to 4 Blessings sure seem clued up when it comes to linking people up through blog hops.  It is such a fun way to get to know other people through their blogging adventures. I am still searching for other South African blogs ... but I have made some of the sweetest friends with people all over the world.  Happy blogging to all of you my sweet bloggy friends. Have a Fabulous Friday! Love Janine xxx

Tweaking this & that

It's been a day of tweaking my blog a bit. I labelled all my old posts, tried out a new Blogger design (hmmm ... still getting used to the new template designs). I must admit to feeling quite intimidated by so many of the beautiful bloggs that I follow. I have yet to find a friend here who is a fellow blogger, so I am kind of learning as I go.  One of the most helpful blogs I can always turn to when I feel stuck is  Sneaky Momma Blog Design . If you are new at blogging, or like me, a bit on the technically challenged side ;) this is the most helpful blog! I am a firm follower and grateful fan. If you haven't checked it out yet, it is so worth the helpful tips! Anyway - that's it from this bloggy girl who is all blogged out for one day. I think I am going to follow in my baby girls example and curl up for the night. Sweet dreams!!! Love Jan
