Welcome to my little writing corner. I count my many blessings to be a cherished wife and an ever-learning-loving-growing mother to 3 amazing children this side of Heaven and a precious little boy in Heaven. Together as a family we pastor a precious church community called Redeeming Hope Church. I've had the privilege of loving and following Jesus Christ since my earliest memories as a child. No matter what I've gone through in life, He has always been so present. At heart, I'm an encourager ... so this is a place where I get to wear my heart on my sleeve and share my journey of learning to live a life of love in action.

Loving my kids on purpose!

I have been missing this cozy corner in blog-land for far too long. It's a rare quiet moment. The girls are out having fun at Holiday Club and boyzie is fast asleep. I have a silly grin on my face as I try remember how to use this key-board after way too long ;0) To kick off ... here are a few pics of my precious growing-up-way-too-fast treasures ...  Mr. Gabe is 5 months old already! He loves nothing more than being outside and out and about with mommy. He clearly has a big wide world of wonder to explore and is soaking it all up. I can't keep him inside for too long. I love his simple wonder at life around him. It's teaching me to find joy in the everyday simple things in life.  He is totally enraptured by all the love that his 2 best big sisters in the whole wide world lavish on him every day. Nothing makes my heart smile bigger than seeing the bond that these 3 share with one another. I love watching him laugh at all their crazy antics! They are such big help...

Hope for the Hurting (beautiful books & blogs that have really helped me)

I've been excited to post this for a while. Today I want to share with you some books and blogs that have been a wonderful source of encouragement to me over the last few weeks since Zac's graduation. I am so thankful for those who have had the courage to share so openly about their journey and the pearls of wisdom that God has given to them through their experiences. A few days after Zac passed, while I was still in absolute shock and just immersed in the pain of loss, a bloggy friend told me about this book that she had read that helped her so much after her precious 3 year old daughter became a Heavenly citizen :0) It is written by the parents of a 19 year old young man who passed away suddenly in an accident. It was such an encouragement to open my eyes to a more Heavenly perspective. These parents have such a real picture of where there son is and how Josiah is fulfilling his ultimate calling. The book is called "Have Heart" by Steve & Sarah Berger. They...

Shepherd of my Heart

I am busy reading such a beautiful book called "Hinds' Feet on High Places" by Hannah Hurnard. I had heard that it is a beautiful book worth reading and the other day when I popped into the bookshop I saw that it was on sale. Wow!! If you have not read it, try and find a copy. It tells the story of The Great Shepherds great and wonderful love for us and His desire to lead us to new heights of love, joy and victory. It is written as a story which is so simple to relate to. I can't wait to start reading it to my girls. Since reading this book, I am seeing Jesus so much clearer as the Shepherd of my heart. His love is so victorious ... so strong ... so consistent ... so full of hope. I am always amazed at how He continually sees the best in each of us. Why is it that we focus so much more on our faults? Are we afraid that if we look too closely at what He sees as beautiful, we might become proud? What a false truth!! Mature love is able to rest confidently in who its bee...
