Love in Action Journey

My girls are both on holiday!!! I cannot tell you how relieved I am that the exams are all over, the girls have both passed and we have weeks of sleeping-in to look forward to! I am so proud of my beautiful daughters who have faced this year with incredible faith and courage. The fact that my eldest was able to not only face her first experience of exams, but excel at them too makes me want to fall at the feet of my faithful King and just weep. She had such a hard term last term with all the uncertainties in the pregnancy, that coming back to this term she had to work extra hard to pull through. It was such a huge faith journey for me to have to trust the Lord for wisdom in preparing her for exams and filling in the gaps where she battled last term, all whilst dealing with grief at it's rawest. Well ... this little warrior princess is a champion in my books! She really worked diligently, we prayed hard and now she is seeing how the Lord brought her through. I am so proud of her. ...

Oh my gracious ... this week has truly been filled with the most beautiful memories. Here's my look back at a week filled with precious highlights ... On Monday we found out that out we are pregnant with our third child! It was so awesome to find out just in time to tell my sweet firstborn on her 10th birthday on Tuesday :0) The girls are over the moon!!! Boy did my Tianna love all our spoil-ies! I just love this treasure girls heart. She appreciates so very much!  On Friday I had my turn to be spoilt rotten! I still cannot believe that I am 34! I was so humbled by all the messages, surprises, visits and love poured out from those so dear to my heart.  Seeing as my big girl and I share the same birthday week - she chose some of her special friends and I took them off to a day of movies, fun rides and yummy treats.  By the end of the arvie I needed to put my feet up! I got to have my own "party" with a few of my sweet friends & family over supper at a fun family ...

So I walk outside to deliver some tea and treats to my little princesses and here's what I see ... My big boy keeping an eye on my colorfully and creatively dressed little princesses enjoying their late summer afternoon spread out on the lawn.  I would love to be in their head-space for a day! I love the freedom, creativity and inhibition that they live with! It captures my heart each day! Sunny afternoon hugs to you today xxx Janine

Yesterday we made the long drive home after a 3 week holiday with all our family and friends in Johannesburg. It was a full and busy time, but I have come home with some fabulous memories. Here's a peek at some of our holiday. Half the time was spent at my hubby's family farm in Rustenburg with all his side of the family and the other half was spent at my sisters house with all my family.  Lots of swimming and running around in the sunshine at the farm. Catching up with lots of extended family members from far and wide. Learning new swimming strokes. Such a patient and fun daddy! Playing with cuzzies for hours in the pool. More special times with cuzzies ... Getting cuddles from my main squeeze =0) I even got some of my family out to the farm. I got to spend special moments with my precious mom and sis. (They'll have my hide for this pic with no make-up on! hee hee ... this is what farm life does to you!!!). I also got to spend some more time with my Granny before sh...

Family. The best way to spend Sunday afternoons. These are some of our precious moments shared between cousins.   Angelee, Caylah, Nathan and Tianna all on the couch. Angelee and Caylah. There is only a month between these two and I am loving watching their bond develop.  Nathan and Tianna having some play time.  Sweet little twinnies, Benjamin and Matthew. These two two-year-olds keep us all smiling. Thank you Lord Jesus for precious moments with family and the memories that we can create when we have an open heart. Happy Sunday sweet friends.
