Welcome to my little writing corner. I count my many blessings to be a cherished wife and an ever-learning-loving-growing mother to 3 amazing children this side of Heaven and a precious little boy in Heaven. Together as a family we pastor a precious church community called Redeeming Hope Church. I've had the privilege of loving and following Jesus Christ since my earliest memories as a child. No matter what I've gone through in life, He has always been so present. At heart, I'm an encourager ... so this is a place where I get to wear my heart on my sleeve and share my journey of learning to live a life of love in action.

The big "3-3"!!!

It's finally here ... I am officially 33 years old / young today!!! A sweet friend of mine said to me that from here on in we can't even pretend to reverse our number otherwise we will make ourselves older!! hee hee. Seriously though ... it has been such an exceptional day. Once again I am thanking God for this amazing gift of life that He has given me. To have known and loved Him from the age of 5 - that to me is one of my BIGGEST blessings; then to have been raised in a family who has loved and taught me so much; to now being married to the most precious man in my whole wide world who has given me our 2 precious daughters; to having so many new and old friends who bless my life; and to be doing what I have always known my heart was called to - pastoring / ministering to a new church plant of precious new believers ... I am rich with the Fathers blessings!!! My life is FULL of the amazing love of God and He continues to surprise me (because I LOVE surprises) with new waves of

Sweet Birthday Girl

9 years ago my life changed forever. I became a mommy on the 8th of February 2001. I was just about to turn 24 and my hubby and I were so excited to discover what raising our very own child would be like :-) Our precious firstborn is now 9 years old and so full of the life, love and beauty of God. Our relationship is so precious to me. While my hubby and I might be teaching and raising her, everyday she teaches me lessons I would never had learned had it not been for the gift of her life in my life. I cannot imagine what my life would be like without her. I am amazed to look back and see how many transitions she has already grown through. Some were harder than others ... yet she continues to be our great delight. My big girl is growing up!!! I cannot express how thankful I am to God for this amazing gift of motherhood.  Happy Birthday sweet Tianna Paige. We love you so much!!!

Read this post with a cup of tea ...

Yes I'm serious ... go make yourself something yummy and soothing to drink before you read any further. I'm getting mine ... meet you back here in five. I'm back with a steaming cup of Earl Grey tea (it's the "English rose" in me I think ... my daddy was born and raised in the UK - maybe that explains my NEED for a god cuppa tea!).  There's just something comforting about sipping on your favorite warm drink, don't you think? Over the last 2 days the Lord has made me aware of how much rushing around we do as women - whether you are a wife, aunty, working woman, mother ... or like me - all of the above ... we spend so much time multi-tasking instead of basking in a restful moment every now and then. I felt prompted to encourage us today to find quiet moments - your very own sacred moments of rest, to just be still and know that He is God and that He is in the midst of all that you face and all that you are negotiating right now in your life. It doesn'

I did it!!!

It took me most of today ... but I eventually worked out how to make my own header!!!!! Miracle of the day I tell you!! Even though I've been blogging for a while, I don't have any friends here in S.A. who have their own blog, so I don't have anyone to bounce ideas off. So it's me picking my non-blogging husbands brain. Ha ha ... fun times :) Anyway - just had to share my BIG accomplishment of the day with someone.
